Here at our Grantham Clinic we understand you may have question about your Botox treatment, we are always happy to help. Your safety and comfort is our main priority which is why we will always take the time to meet you for a free no obligation consultation prior to your appointment, during the appointment explain and answer any questions you may have and encourage you to stay in contact following the treatment. How does Botox work?

Botox is a purified protein that relaxed targeted muscles, reducing movement which can cause wrinkles caused by facial movement. Our Grantham clinic can also treat your lips in a lip flip to make the appearance of the upper lip fuller and Jaw slimming botox.

Why is my Botox not working yet?

It can take up for 2 weeks for Botox to fully work, it can even start working in some areas faster than others. Be patient every client is different, even if you have had Botox before different factors like hydration levels, circulation and activity levels can affect how quickly your botox works.

My face is uneven can Botox fix it?

Yes absolutely, it would be best to visit our Grantham clinic prior to treatment to assess your face and concerns.

Do I really need a prescription for Botox?

Yes, it is now UK law too attend a face to face prescription with a registered prescriber prior to your appointment – it is however valid for 6 months (as long as you don’t have any changes in your medical status within the time of the prescription being issued and your appointment). Your prescription cost is included. We will arrange the prescription appointment with you.

Is Botox Safe?

Botox is one of the most researched medications – it is used for a number of medical conditions and aesthetic treatments. We only use FDA approved products and always do a full consultation at our Grantham Clinic prior to your treatment to ensure your suitable to receive treatment.

How long does Botox last?

Results peak at 2 months following treatment, movement may start to come back slowly after this time, we recommend you have your Botox every 4/5 months.

What areas can be treat?

It slows or stops muscle movement – we are able to treat a variety of concerns over the face and neck.  

Masseter Botox - Lessens teeth grinding and slims the outer jaw.

Upper face Botox – Brow lifts help hooded eyes and heaviness. Crows feet fine lines are improved. Forehead can improve lines along the forehead.

Lip flip – pulls to upper lip up to create the apperence of a larger upper lip. This also treats gummy smiles.

Chin / lower face – We can treat chin dimpling and downwards smiles.

Can I have Botox and filler at the same time?

Yes, absolutely. We even offer packages on multiple treatments – consultations are completely free, book in a meeting with us to discuss your best treatment plan for your skin goals.

How do I know your products are safe?

We always let you know which product we are planning to use, we will only ever use FDA approved products from UK verified suppliers, if you would like to know exactly which products we plan to use we will always share that information with you.

Does Botox hurt?

With every injectable treatment you may feel pinching during however this is very short lived and doesn’t hurt after the actual treatment.

What is the aftercare?

  • Do not lean forward or lay flat on your back for the first 12 hours.

  • Bruising / Swelling and redness for up to a week is normal, however if you do have any concerns please contact us directly via phone straight away we are always happy to help.

  • Do not consume any alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours following the treatment.

  • No excessive sweating or heat for the first 48 hours.

  • No excessive movement for the first 48 hours – it may move the area of the Botox.

  • Return for your 2 weekly review for optimal results.

  • Make up can be worn after 12 hours and do not touch or massage the injection sites / you may have lumps present for up to a week following the treatment.
