What is dermal filler?
Dermal filler is a hyaluronic acid based gel used to restore volume, enhance facial features and improve structure.

Does filler hurt?
Our fillers contain lidocaine to reduce discomfort (a numbing agent inside the filler) – you may feel pressure during the treatment and a mild pinch but generally it is very tolerable. We also provide a numbing cream which will ease discomfort.

How long does filler last?
6 – 18 months, this depends on your own metabolism and activity level / sunbed use / hydration levels. Filler around the mouth generally metabolises at 6/7 months as it is a more vascular area.

Is dermal filler safe?
Yes – when performed correctly, placed correctly and the right safety procedures are followed. All of the filler products that we use are FDA approved and from a UK verified supplier – we will give you the details of the filler used so you know your in safe hands. If you are wanting further information regarding our cleaning / safety practices and emergency procedures we are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

What's the difference between Botox and Filler?
Botox does not add volume it softens the muscle to reduce lines. Filler restores and adds volume.

When will my filler bruising and swelling go down?
Generally most swelling will lessen in the first 8 hours however it can take up to 2 weeks for the area to be fully recovered / alcohol / caffeine / hormonal changes / activity levels can increase bruising and swelling.

What happens if I don’t like my filler, what can I do?
Its highly unlikely as we will always have a full consultation to understand your goals, we will show you throughout the appointment to ensure you are happy through, we use methods that are buildable so it will never look ‘too much’. First time clients are always advised to be steady with the amount of filler – we would rather top up with a 2 week review, we can discuss this at your appointment.
