My Top Tips for Glowing Skin This Summer

Summer is one of my favourite times of the year. Whether you’re jetting off on holiday, attending weddings, enjoying garden parties, or simply making the most of the sunshine here in the UK, there’s something about summer that makes us all want to look and feel our best.

As an aesthetic practitioner, one of the most common questions I get asked at this time of year is:

“What should I do to get my skin looking its best before my holiday?”

The truth is, achieving healthy, glowing skin isn’t about last-minute fixes. It’s about giving your skin the care and attention it deserves in the weeks leading up to your holiday or special event.

Here are some of the tips I share with my clients every summer.


Don’t Leave It Until the Last Minute

One of the biggest mistakes I see is clients booking treatments just a few days before they fly.

Whether you’re considering anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, or a skin-boosting treatment, I always recommend planning ahead. This gives your treatment time to settle and allows us to achieve the most natural, beautiful results possible.

If you’ve got a holiday, wedding, or special occasion coming up, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your skin.


Hydration Is Everything

You can have the most expensive skincare routine in the world, but if your skin is dehydrated, it will show.

During summer, our skin loses moisture much more quickly due to sun exposure, travel, air conditioning, and changes in routine.

I always tell my clients to focus on the basics:

  • Drink more water than you think you need.

  • Apply a good moisturiser consistently.

  • Use SPF every single day.

  • Don’t forget that alcohol and sun exposure can quickly dehydrate your skin.

Healthy skin starts from within.


SPF Is Non-Negotiable

If there is one piece of skincare advice I could give every client, it would be this:


Wear your SPF every day.

Not just when you’re on holiday. Not just when it’s sunny.

Every day.

Sun damage is one of the biggest causes of premature ageing, pigmentation, and loss of skin elasticity. Protecting your skin now will pay dividends for years to come.

Think of SPF as your best anti-ageing product.


A Fresh, Natural Look Is Always My Goal

Many of my clients choose to have anti-wrinkle treatments or dermal fillers before summer holidays and events.

What I love most is helping people look refreshed and confident without looking like they’ve had anything “done.”

My approach has always been about enhancing your natural features rather than changing them. The best results are often the ones nobody can quite put their finger on—they just notice that you look well, rested, and glowing.


Don’t Forget About Self-Care
